The enhanced model of EM1401 UT thickness gauge combines the features of several tools. It can connect to the EMAT with an operating clearance of up to 6 mm between the sensor and metal.
Prior to the heating season, Oktanta experts performed the diagnostics of heating systems in Murino town, Leningrad Region. The work was executed as requested by JSC Teploset Sankt-Peterburga involving the HeatScan internal pipe diagnostic system.
The HeatScan system is designed to detect pipe defects by an internal pipe diagnostic robot and evaluation of remaining service life of defective areas. The technology requires no preliminary preparation of the pipe, allows testing the condition of metal through a deposit layer of up to 35 mm. The system’s diagnostic robot has six tracks that allow traversing areas with significant contamination. Our company provides services for internal pipe diagnostics where this system is used.
The experts from the State Unitary Enterprise TAeK SPb together with the Research and Production Enterprise Oktanta performed the internal pipe diagnostics of steam pipeline near the Baltika brewery using the HeatScan diagnostic robot in order to prevent another occurrence of the emergency of the previous day, November 11.
In total, 84 meters of pipe were examined. The technical condition of steam pipeline was evaluated as satisfactory.
The technology provides for the diagnostic robot movement inside the pipe with 100% scanning of pipe area. The sensors detect magnetic field anomalies in defect areas. Using a special algorithm, the program determines the residual metal thickness.

This year, the HeatScan diagnostic complex attracted a lot of attention at the exhibition.
The ability of our robot to diagnose the pipeline without preliminary preparation of pipes has become a big advantage in comparison with analogues.
And the success of our robot in the diagnosis of real pipelines with the lack of fusion of welds and defects in a fixed support made him a little self-propelled hero!

The new improved version of the PIPESCOPE 60-170 portable drillpipe diagnostic system has been released.
All parts of the installation were subjected to significant modernization in order to increase the service life and resistance to external influences. There was an opportunity to measure the diameter and ovality of the studied pipes, the number of channels increased by the methods of scattering magnetic flux and measuring the magnetic flux density.
The drill pipe control system is implemented in four versions.
